I almost don’t know anyone who didn’t-I went to a Catholic university that was-and is liberal-one of the profs who was a Jesuit was always in the news for being right on the edge of illegal for something-and even did jail time.
Since some of those old classmates are still friends and business associates, knowing people who smoked weed is a moot point and includes my first husband and MrT5, who-like just about everyone else there-first did it in Nam and seldom after that. I don’t know many people who smoke it now-some just never were that into it, but most don’t because of the legal issues and how that relates to business/work.
A former classmate who was the district manager of a big insurance co also captured the record for running the biggest meth lab in this county back in 1977, but he was an exception-he got a long-well deserved-sentence, and I haven’t heard a word of him in at least 20 years...

Thought of another doper— our former across the street neighbor until his wife booted his ass bc he wanted to bring his GIRLFRIEND to live with them. Gotta love a losertarian! He smoked dope at their house in front of their daughter who’s now 16. The mom had no way to tell her drugs are bad bc the dad did them. He told Lisa that when she turned 18 she could smoke dope. I think that’s borderline child abuse. NO idea what the mom saw in the loser in the first place, she’s a CPA and he was a chiropractor for awhile and now he’s a teacher at the public HS. The mom does no drugs and has lost probably 100 lbs since kicking him out. She looks fantastic and he knows it. The best revenge.

Every place on the planet, has a lounge...where those type of target rich environments exist.
And there are lots of people who do their jobs and come home and get high in the evening or on weekends.

Some might, but I can’t really think of anything at all I agree with a liberal about-not even drugs-their whole agenda is the control, and that made me an unrepentant rebel from the time I could say “no”.
The only reason liberals got on the legalization train is in the hopes of getting votes. I don’t think they realized that the very control they salivate and wet dream about is undermined by people smoking/drinking/doing what they want-if you listen to some of the lib pundits on Fox, they are already happily talking about the regulating, taxing, standards, etc they want to impose on their new toy-pot, just like Obamacare-they just see it as more bread and circuses to dole out that puts a leash on everyone who wants a freebie-they’ll probably allow it on the food cards pretty soon...
You’re about 10 yrs older than I am and that explains the difference in experience. The relevance of who does it explains my mindset- only losers, in my experience, and absolutely no good comes from it. So its proliferation is a bad idea in my opinion. I suppose its only fitting that the country goes out in a cloud of smoke, under the CHOOM president.

There are several schools of thought on the use of marijuana. Those who never tried it, never will. Those who tried it and basically outgrew it. Those who did not outgrow it but try to keep it under control. Those who get stoned on a regular basis.

Instant memory-remember my former neighbor, the Loon, who is a CPA-also bi-polar, totally nuts and with a taste for abusive men? The one whose son was juggled between all of is on the road from the time he was 15 every time she disappeared for days to keep him from being snatched up by CPS? Even our kids covered for him-even at school. He is in the AF now, and married...

Yes I do, glad he turned out ok. Mary Kay is ridiculously stable and grounded, they had ZERO in common. He’s big and hideous, had a ponytail for awhile, and she’s very button downed. I don’t know if you recall me mentioning a million years ago, the neighbors who had the Halloween parties for adults where we were almost certain that they conducted satanic sacrifices. That was them. She said they stopped having the parties bc she was embarrassed of him and his doper friends mixing with her friends. She’s a practicing catholic and the daughter is in catholic HS. Unfortunately thus has all taken a toll on her and she was cutting herself etc. she’s a junior now.

From a public policy perspective, do you think it’s a crime, or a health issue.
Or will you go on record as saying the Government should dictate morality, like forcing Contraception Protection on Nuns?
Freedom of Conscience extends in all directions, not the ones we find in the most convenient definitions.

My wish, is that you consider the angle from which you approach it.
