I like the Led Zeppelin 3. Gallows Pole is awesome and Tangerine are two of my favorites. Love their acoustic work on the album and the album cover was wonderful.
This sone is also one of my favorites.
Yup, I know about that one. I heard one a few months ago, forgot the guy’s name, but it was some old black guy singing ‘Whole lotta love’, only it was recorded in the 1950s.
Well Keith Moon dying didn’t stop The Who....And even before Bonham’s death, it seemed like Zep was on the verge of breaking up anyway after ITTOD.
Did I disturb your man crush Ron?
Expand on that por favor........
Jimmy played rhythm guitar on it, Pete confirmed it later.
It's hard to pick out any one song that is the "best"....they did so much.....99% of their songs are classic...how do you pick a favorite?
What?
Please to tell fungus among us......
A gym buddy and I like to kick around all the obscure associations the Brit bands had back then. Yardbirds alumn in particular.
I look forward to hitting him with this one. Thanks.
Whole lotta pretension!
Why is this song considered the greatest in Rock Music History on all the Memorial/Labor Day Countdowns?
I think Iron Horses’ Bluegrass version is better:

Never was really a LZ fan, prefer the Prog Rock genre more.
But one thing I want to know. The Immigration Song, was this ripped off from the Get Smart theme or not?
There’s no favorite with Led Zeppelin IMHO they will always be a favorite band especially since they sang about one of my favorite Writers J.R.R. Tolkien ......
Plant was influenced by J. R. R. Tolkien inspiring lyrics in some early Led Zeppelin songs. “The Battle of Evermore”, “Misty Mountain Hop”, “Stairway to Heaven”, “No Quarter”, “Ramble On” and “Over the Hills and Far Away” contain references to Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and Hobbit.
Stairway has always bored me.
What Is And What Should Never Be...Rock and Roll..thumbs up.
Calling someone out for being a plagiarist seems to really upset their boy fans.
BTSOOM. What's your take?
But one thing I want to know. The Immigration Song, was this ripped off from the Get Smart theme or not?
First. It's the "immigrant song", the flip side was hey, hey what can I do.
As far as get smart, maybe you should try it.
Stairway to Heaven is a masterpiece but one that I have heard so many times that I do tend to get tired of it. But then I will give it a listen and be blown away by its perfection. Pages’s amazing solo and Plant’s vocal climax are what keeps the song timeless. Achilles Last Stand is great, too. An awesome ride, but not a perfect gem like Stairway to Heaven.
YES ...I and II....every song was good...
