I haven't had a TV since the days when I used to help the Lone Ranger and Tonto read the Smoke Signal warnings.

As soon as the Smoke Signals were interpreted, I'd attach a message to Rin Tin Tin's neck and send him off to the Fort to warn them of the planned Indian attack (it also had an encoded message just for that sweet little blonde, Miss Katie at the Fort).

basically look into unlimited cell data plans. some 2nd tier providers are clamming 4 phone/unlimited data for $100/m. while you will have a slower connection if you look at it globally you’ll be ok. Hulu, netflicks et al provides tv shows, FNC gets you real time news. a bit of a PITA but doable. upside that’s what we’ll all be doing in 3-5 years and everyone will have their own phone number. where you run into issues are multiple connected devices per person.
