Yep, Tara said something about going camping with a girl she liked. Then she discovered that the girl only liked men.
Why was the roof leaking when it wasn’t raining?
Tara is also completely useless. Despite going to the Police Academy, she cannot handle a single face down walker.
True.
In a show where 99% of the population has died, and 90% of the remainders are men, and they are fighting to rebuild civilization? Obviously this show needs lesbians.
This just shows that the writers don't really think an apocolypse has happened, because the status of women in society hasn't changed, and it would change severely.
Women would become the most valuable thing on earth. Gangs of men would be scouring the countryside looking for women, and kidnapping, capturing and raping anyone they could find. 28 days later is the only film that has even touched upon this. If you had a woman in your group, she would be barricaded behind locked doors. The last thing you would ever do is let someone outside your group know you had women with you, because if another group found out, they'd come to kill you and take the women.
It is bad enough that the women go around risking their lives fighting zombies when they could just send an expendable man to do the same thing, and be safe in the prison having babies and raising the next generation. Now they have lesbians and will pretend that is the same choice that it would be in 2013 non-zombie America? Who is going to produce the next generation? And if the answer is "nobody", then why bother?
If you recall in season three, when Hershel took off from the farm after the shoot-em-up of his walker family and friends kept in the barn, Rick and Glenn tracked him down to a bar in town. While they were there a group of men came through and two of them stopped at the same bar. They were killed by Rick and then as the rest of the gang started looking for the two, Hershel, Rick and Glenn escaped but ended up rescuing a young guy who had been impaled on a fence. Well, this guy, Randall, told Rick and the others that he was with a large group and they knew that they would come looking for the house and farm and would take the women and kill any men that were there. I wouldn’t be surprised if this group in the woods is the SAME group Randall was with. So, you’re right, they DID bring up that the women would be taken and the men killed if this gang came upon others. This may be where the season five is headed when Rick’s group leaves the prison.
He looked as if he stayed up all night with his Old Grandad, Jim beam and Johnny Walker. Bloodshot eyes and a nice gin blossom on his cheeks.
Tara: I thought she was the one.
Lilly: Then you went camping, ate mushrooms, game over.
Tara: Youre forgetting the part where Sam broke down and told me she has a boyfriend, that she wasnt really into chicks. Ugh, worst weekend of my life.
Well, the sister and the other chick are in each other’s arms, so...
Not to mention, that on Talking Dead “Tara” talks about how cool it is that the show now includes a lesbian relationship but that they are beating people over the head with it.
Truth is, the creator of Walking Dead has written almost every relationship/personality type into his stories...just as you would find in real life. I find it funny that people have no problem with repeated scenes of brain splatter and gratuitous violence but balk at two women hooking up.
Now, if it was two guys, that would be totally different. ;-)
Yeah and the faultless Rick sent Carol off into that, ALONE.
It’s a spoiler, for sure. I hope the Walkers do their job.
In TWD comics, it is two guys.
That’s what my husband and I were talking about this morning. In a zombie apocalypse—or any other kind of apocalypse—political correctness would be out the door and there would be very little patience with self-indulgent deviants who have no interest in repopulating the human race.
As for Tara, I find her very annoying aside from the lesbian thing....those fist-bumps, aargh. I’m not at all invested in the Governor’s new family; after two episodes of them, I’m ready for them to disappear.
Probably because it's stomach-churning at a visceral level that goes way beyond fake blood splatter. Two men, two women---same thing. I don't want to look at it.
According to the Obama administration that makes her a role model for women in USMC front-line combat units.
Fake blood splatter — OK.
Fake lesbians ———— Not OK.
How do you keep track of which fake stuff is OK and which isn’t?
Reminds of the guy who said, I used to try to pick up girls using that fake macho, bad boy attitude until I found out that what women really want is honesty and sincerity — so I started faking that.
Really?
Any viewer of the WD knows what they will get when it comes to gore; we've signed up for it. As for the other, not so much.
Im not at all invested in the Governors new family; after two episodes of them, Im ready for them to disappear.
I feel the same way. I only feel sorry for the little girl.
Maybe she'll end up being taken in by our group at the prison.
That’s a good thought.
Rick was stupid to banish Carol. Daryl will kick is butt. Carol would have continued to tech the young ones how to survive and think.
I’m afraid for Herschel.
