Although 1/100 of what the turnout was during the Presidential election going in at about the same time of the day, didn’t see anything out of the norm. I would say my precinct is 50-50 leaning democrat and perhaps as much as 55-45 Democratic. Nothing too anecdotal - nothing heavy nothing light.

Here in Southwest Virginia, turnout seems to be normal for an off-year election, but low compared to 2012. Lots of GOP signs, very few Dem signs and the few of them that are out there are for McAuliffe only. So, Cuccinelli is winning the sign battle in SW VA and that is a real good “sign”.

I voted at about 6:45 this morning in VA Beach. My precinct always has a pretty strong turnout, even for City Council elections. Wasn’t nearly as busy as I expected but there were people there voting. I haad to wait for one guy ahead of me. Was in and out in 5 minutes.

My polling place said things were steady there...nothing unusual. In and out in 10 minutes. My conservative neighbors were there so that was good but we are in a majority minority district in our county so it always goes dim.
Signage here has not been the same as for Obozo...saw one bumper sticker for McAwful the whole campaign; not many more for Cuccinelli.
Ken’s been here in Ham Roads but not McFlyful so he’s obviously putting all his chips on the women who are afraid of no birth control, no abortion mill access and women murder in No VA...and McAwful has been such a supporter of women, especially his own wife....

Have the Democrats kicked out the Republican poll-watchers yet?

My wife told me our polling precinct in Gloucester Point had over 700 pass through by 4 p.m. There probably will be close to 1000 or so. That should take it up to about 40-45% in what is one of the most conservative districts in Virginia.

A tad off topic, but anyone want to bet we’re going to get Chris Christie shoved down our throats as the GOP’s nominee in 2016?
