The supposed high turn out is making me nervous if the conventional wisdom says low turn out favors our side...
But heck, those same people said NO prez could be reelected with 8% unemployment, lousy approval ratings, gas at $3/gallon, blah blah blah...
Can’t STAND that paper and tell them every time they hit me up to subscribe. They have also messed big time with our town politics which has really pi**ed me off.
We get the Sunday Pilot at a 7/11 - the coupons pay for it and I work the cross words...meh.

As of 3 p.m. in Salem, 14,530 votes had been cast out of 61,673 registered voters, a turnout of 23.56 percent.
In Botetourt County, 7,660 votes out of 23,195 registered voters had been cast as of 3 p.m., a turnout of 33.02 percent.
In Roanoke, the turnout count showed that, as of 3 p.m., 23.56 percent of 61,675 registered voters had voted.
Roanoke County’s turnout as of 3 p.m. was 31.68 percent, with 21,295 votes cast out of 67,224 registered voters.

You can’t send your kids to a public school system designed to indoctrinate them and then get angry when they wind up indoctrinated.
Yet killing babies for the sake of convenience is not too extreme.
