It's been awhile since I posted a list of money saving ideas. Unfortunately, most of them are basically the same. This one had some new ones. The best ideas on these threads, though, are the ones that FReepers post!

Please add YOUR money saving tips! Here's one from me:

-Keep your old VCR. You can buy movies on VHS for about $.50 at thrift stores: that's cheaper than redbox and you don't have to return it like you would at the library.

Surviving Socialism Pinglist
Stories and tips with a financial emphasis to help conservatives SURVIVE and prosper during difficult times.

To be added or taken off this list, please send a FR mail to RKBA Democrat. FAIR WARNING, I'm one of the worst pinglist administrators on FR. I ping infrequently then I ping a lot. I forget to add people to the list. I disappear for months at a time when I get fed up with politics. But I do try to make sure that the articles pinged are worthy of your time. Search the keyword "survivingsocialism" to see previous articles and pings.

2. Save all change. Adds up quickly.

Are there people who just throw their change away?

18. Breastfeed – Breast milk is always the right temperature (when given directly from the source), doesn’t have to be boiled or mixed, no bottles to wash, you’re taking it with you anyway. If you can’t, use Kirkland Signature (Costco brand) formula, it’s many times cheaper than name brands with basically the same ingredients.

Oooh! That's gonna wad up a bunch of panties here on FR.

Karl Benz of Germany invented the modern automobile, not Henry Ford. Mr. Ford wasn’t even the first American car maker or mass producer of automobiles. Those titles go to the Duryea brothers and Ransom E. Olds.

I’m nursing #3, aka number last, and I’m trying to convert our formula savings into diamond stud earrings. My husband isn’t yet convinced.

I see you've never been on a nursing thread on FR. There are many here that see nursing as something to be hidden and never seen.

As a 53 year old man with no children at home any more, I probably wouldn’t click onto a breastfeeding thread on purpose.

Do they not realize that almost every human being in history was breastfed? That includes Jesus, Buddha, Washington, Lincoln, Caesar, Einstein, Mother Theresa, Moses, Newton, etc., etc.

That doesn’t apply to Michelle Obama, I’m sure.

LOL It's been explained to them but they still think it should be hidden. It's funny. The same people that would sit and watch a dog breastfeed get all freaked out when God's most amazing creation feeds one of her children.

If you can’t, use Kirkland Signature (Costco brand) formula...

Is that made in China?

Some things I do:

- Shop at Aldi or other discount grocery store. Aldi has mostly their own store brands, but they are good quality and even cheaper than major chains store brands

- If no Aldi...then store brands. Publix and Kroger I know have good quality store brands

- Dollar Tree and Dollar Stores for tolietries, greeting cards, and gift wrap....super cheap and lots of variety

- If traveling...7-Eleven or other nice convienence store chain is a lot cheaper than fast food or service restaurants...and quality is not that bad.

- If you don’t mind missing early parts of games....buying tickets at stadium from sellers get a lot cheaper after kickoff or first pitch

- The farther you park away from an event or venue...the cheaper your parking is. If you are willing to walk a little...it will save you $$$...especially if you are an NFL fan (who wants to pay $25-50 to park for a game)
