So you're okay with a public figure that is deviant and immoral as long as they make you laugh.............

America how far you have fallen!

Only one of us is, and it isn’t you.

You, otoh, like to find fault in others for criticizing what needs to be criticized.

The Gawker is a leftwing rag whose only objective is to ‘out’ someone they perceive as a ‘hypocritical rightwinger’ ONLY because he’s employed by Fox. Good for this guy for not responding and giving them the perverse satisfaction they seek.

I’ve read a lot about Fox on FR, I will check that out. I don’t have a TV (only had one for 2 years since I was a teenager), so I have no personal experience with Fox or any other stuff on TV.....

I’m funny that way.

But I like to know what’s going on even if I do not watch it.

Thank you - I’ve taken breaks from FR before, 6 months at a time; didn’t plan to be away this time, just too incredibly busy to get here much, lately.

Divorcing personal character from public life is a huge cause of the degradation and destruction of our country.

That’s exactly what Clinton supporters said, too.

That right there is the key.

Otherwise good people have watched way too much TV and have grown emotionally attached to it.

They have been accepting of homosexuals on TV for decades - there is no way they are now going to be put off their beloved TV and FOX because there is a pro homosexual agenda.

People are what television wants them to be and they don’t even realize it. They will actually defend TV and Hollywood. I see it here regularly.

It occurred to me....homosexuals refer to themselves as queers as though it amuses them. “Queer Theory”; “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”, “We’re Here, We’re Queer”, etc., etc.

So in view of that, why on earth should anybody else tiptoe around them and shy from using the word? No...just no. I’m not dancing to that tune.

Et tu, wardaddy?? Seriously??

I didn’t say that hetero sex was yucky. Just that each person has quirks or desires that other people might not like. For instance, I just recently found out that a friend of mine slept with someone I do not like. Ew. You do not wish to know your male friends or coworkers’ turn ons, trust me. The sexual lives of others are mostly unappealing to their fellow citizens. That’s all I meant. Most of us wouldn’t fill out forms for Facebook listing our 10 favorite fantasies! And most of us would not want to know the same about others!

Who cares what people do or wish to do sexually as long as it’s not harming innocents?

I agree sex belongs private. I happen to be a very straight female. I don’t care if others are gay, though.

I have yet to read anything from you in opposition to the all pervasive and insanely destructive, and unconstitutional homosexual agenda.

What a strange thing to say. Why would you even think about such a thing?

Except that it is doing harm. Immorality always does harm. Accepting deviancy in the public square does harm. People used to know that.

Yes. So many today seem willing to accept a lack of morality as nothing meaningful or important, but that is not only wrong, it has led to a collapse of our society and has negatively affected our country and government.

Can’t recall the verse right now but it’s written that if we so much as “nod to them in the marketplace, we partake of their sins”.

It’s currently fashionable to have ‘gay friends’ and to flaunt your open mindedness about homosexuals.

I’m not fashionable.

Whether I run into them in a social setting or they’re working in some store I’m visiting, I pretty much say nothing to them beyond required etiquette.

[thank you/no thank you]

Occasionally I run into one who’s in the mood to openly flaunt itself and rather than agree with the crowd “Not that there’s anything wrong with that” I look at them with the same expression I’d provide for a dog eating feces or humping the furniture.

Quiet, overt repulsion.

I don’t care what shrinks, society, TV or the ‘law’ tells me.

I care what God tells me.

He says that it’s an *abomination*.

There’s no way to put a pleasingly pretty dress on that.

FWIW, I spend time every day -deleting- ‘shared content’ on my FB that comes from George Takei.

FReeper friends share that stuff.

Some of it *is* pretty funny but Takei is not allowed on my page.

He is an abomination.

If I leave it on my page, some may think I approve of him when I earnestly do not.

It’s petty and makes me think that these freepers wouldn’t be very nice to conservatives who look different from themselves.

Meaning conservatives such as myself and DJMacWow are probably racist bigoted white people who hate black people into the bargain?

Immorality always does harm. Accepting deviancy in the public square does harm. People used to know that.

This used to be a common cultural understanding. Collapse is inevitable. Decay from within.
