You take the King’s farthing, you do the King’s bidding.
This is why government schools and even vouchers are wrong-headed.

Now you know how Hitler 6M Jews killed in Europe. Catholics rolled over and let’em do it.

I agree with your reasoning.

Even in an 100% orthodox Christian society, a Church institution has no business taking public money, that is how doctrine is corrupted. And that includes the oh so coveted tax exemption, that also allows some gagging of the pulpit...except in "traditionally black churches", where it is "part of the culture" to speak politics to the congregation. Something about a camel's foot in the door, or a salesman's nose under a tent comes to mind.

>> This is tyranny by any standard
It’s also a violation of the 1st Amendment.
I smell consequences.

Publicly funded Catholic schools?
I think I see the problem.

The mistake of private parochial schools made “public” by accepting public funding. I don’t know the law in Canada, but maybe schools have no choice.

The next thing will be demanding Catholic schools allow NAMBLA to disperse “reading” materials. After all, we can’t be judgmental can we?
