This is one of the least populated of areas, although I lived on a slightly more populated part of the Range in the past. Predators formerly stayed out of human sight here as much as they could during daylight hours, and that was year round. There are no nearby trees, BTW—too cold for ‘em. ;-)

Agreed. Maybe people aren't after the wildlife as much. Maybe there aren't as many young folks chasing critters.
