“Above freezing” is not enough for Boidae.
Colubrids hibernate.
They’re designed to do so.
Boidae never hibernate in cold weather.
They just get sick and die.
When too cold, their digestive and immune systems shut down rather than the snakes simply going into a state of “suspended animation”.
I have fought severe respiratory infections in several snakes merely because the breeder failed to include adequate heat pads during overnight shipping, they’re that sensitive.
When Python Hunters was on TV, the guys found that most of the Burms they encountered were suffering from RIs, mouth rot and scale rot, all autoimmune illnesses provoked by inadequate warmth.
Algore’s projected Killer Snake Invasion is simply never going to happen.
Their potential range is self-limited by their physiology.
It’s more likely that global warming will cause 80 degree winters in Maine.
Then the Boidae would have a chance....:)
I remember the jacked up crap about the “panthers”.
Somebody just wanted that land zoned off.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Running like girls!
HAHAHAHAHA! PRICELESS!
LOL!
Racers are so gutsy.
Thank you, I was waiting on someone to post that shot ;)
