Are we supposed to feel sorry for this guy -- who didn't save and even now, he could live modestly from the SS & pension he is getting. It's his choice to work.

Obviously the moral of the story is however much you make while working, figure out your expenses so you can save some it. Time goes by faster than you think. Of course saving pre-tax such as in a 401K or IRA is the best way.

Until it isn't.

Uncle Sam is salivating over the 19 billions in American retirement accounts, as it becomes increasingly difficult to finance the deficits with foreign money. People who follow these things say it is inevitable.

Pretty soon we’ll all be flipping burgers for the vegetarian H1B Indians (not the ones from Casinoland!) who took our jobs!

$1200 a month in Social Security for an executive with a six figure income?

That means he most likely filed at age 62, and probably quit working before that.

And he could gross $2,000 a month as a security guard sitting in a chair behind a condo sign-in desk.

They love old guys - no health insurance needed because of Medicare, always on time, always well groomed, always polite, no tattoos, etc., etc.
