I used to live in San Diego county. Like I said I wish I could see him cry a river!!!! Maybe Greta will have some clips of it?
then why is his resignation contingent on SD paying??? at least that's what i've read anywany
It’s not. SD has to pay either way. I’m not sure what incentives they gave him to go but it wasn’t that.
can they turn around and sue him for breach of trust/misconduct etc?
SD can sue Filthy Filner to recover any settlement and/or judgement $$$ the city has to pay, though city attorney Jan Goldsmith stopped shot of saying it would. Maybe that was the deal. Go away and we won’t seek reimbursement.
Mr. Sardonicus
Filthy Filner just stuck it to San Diego taxpayers. Those who approved this deal should be voted out. ASAP.
He stuck it to San Diego taxpayers when he sexually harassed women. The city was responsible for his actions long before this deal -- the deal had nothing to do with it.
Just why wasn’t he arrested?
According to City Attorney Jan Goldsmith, this will have no effect on any pending criminal charges if any. The FBI is still investigating and Filner could still face criminal charges.
“But there is no guarantee it will do so and you can’t get blood from a turnip.”
They can get a judgment and go after his Congressional pension!
Thanks for the clarification. I really think the taxpayers should not have to foot any bill for this pervert.
Look at that doofus and consider that a majority of voting age adults in San Diego voted that guy into office. Just look at that picture ... it has Progressive pervert written all over it. In fact, they out to paste that picture on billboards all over San Diego as a reminder of what Progressive stupidity can do.
that should thrill the taxpayers... wonder if they'll replace him with another RAT?
Filner was only elected because the Republican who ran against him, Carl DeMaio, is an openly gay man. Conservatives couldn’t bring themselves to vote for the gay guy so they got Filner. DeMaio is currently running for congress so it’s still up in the air who might be SD’s next mayor.
good God...
