I tried both ixquick and startpage. I had better experience here;

Actually, startpage is “by Ixquick”.
I undertook a comparison search using the nathan louis campbell subject as test.
My ixquick query was hijacked by google. startpage search was not. I should have just made a mental note and left it alone, but no, I kept wondering whether blah blah blah...
