oh
My nephew was playing the second one but he was just roaming and not doing any missions
Migraines are not as common in males, but that doesn’t mean they are less serious. It just means they still need to be treated as a serious illness, just as they are in females.
As they age, the stresses in children often become internalized, and that’s when the migraines are at their worst. Often, it is an upcoming event, or perhaps the insecurity of wondering if one is “good enough” to perform adequately, or even something as benign as wondering if “I have everything I need to pull this off.”
Adults with migraines often have complex triggers, so it is much better to work with Sally and Pat now, than to wait until they are on their own. At least this way, they will have some idea as to what triggers the headaches and can avoid them, if at all possible.
And as always, I am here to help with pointers... Ice packs on the neck help, a sleep mask can help, and the absence of outside interference (noise, confusion, cooking odors, bright lights, etc) can help immensely.
And often, sadly, Ibuprofin is NOT going to bring relief! When I was working, the only thing that provided relief was an injection called “Imitrex.” It is now available in self-injectable doses, but I had to go to the clinic to get a shot in the backside. The relief, however, was almost instantaneous!
Now, I see, “they” are using Botox for migraines, so it may be something to consider later on. It is NOT the same Botox that is used for frown lines!
I am so glad to hear everyone is doing fine! Last time we REALLY had news, you posted photos of the re-doing of the house, interspersed with pics of LulaBelle, the Great, and comments about how life was treating all y’all!
Thanks for the update! Give LulaBelle a tasty bacon treat from me, hug LauraEarl, and never, EVER let those grandkids visit without taking photos!

Ah. But. There is always THIS: http://www.angelfire.com/tn/traderz/dads.html
There are so many brands of Root Beer its crazy, many regional ones.
I am known to ignore boundaries to get things done. It makes me feared, hated and respected. I like it that way.
This one (Dad’s) is the best, and I have sampled root beer all over the country! I was a military wife, and I didn’t drink, so root beer RULED!
;o]
I know something about Japanese porn ... I once cat-sat for a woman who had some books, and I paged through while snuggling the kittehs. Ick.
The “Smarter Every Day” videos cover all kinds of topics, and the little boys are enjoying it. The school day kind of fell apart when I had to take Sally to the doctor, and Kathleen’s and Frank’s naps never happened, either. I could send them all outside to blow something up, but eventually the Sheriff’s Department is going to notice a trend and get suspicious about us.
Tom is really into Assassins’ Creed. He has the 4th game on pre-order, but if I get annoyed enough with him ... like if he doesn’t study for the SAT ... I’ll cancel the pre-order, which is on my credit card, and then he’ll never get all the Supplementary Material.
Do not fear, I will ask for advice from all my Undead folks, and I’ll consider every suggestion. It’s all new right now ... we had Sally throwing up, without ever mentioning headaches until last month, and then we had Pat saying he had a headache, and occasionally throwing up. Need more data!
Sally is a bit anxious about the trip to England, so I’ll warn Mom about the possibility of a migraine and make sure they take Ibuprofen along. Dr. Dayal said Ibuprofen or Naproxen was most likely to help, at the onset, but we stopped one (maybe, could have been something else) with Acetominophen the other day. Everyone is different!
They’re fun
I’ll have to learn HTML again.
My kids are fun, too, but I never get away from them! *drink*
If something works for a migraine, never, EVER discount it! I suffered for years because I was ignorant, and expected the doctor to be All-Knowing. Never having known anyone with the same headaches, I had no clue what to tell him about the meds I was given. Turns out, Fiorinal was an opium derivative, and it was the same as giving me amphetimines. It only intensified the pain.
Phenobarbital is also something I can’t take, as it is also part of the opiate family.
Keep taking notes! What works for one migraine sufferer may not work for another in the same family.
And I will have to learn HTML! LOL!
May I buy you a Libation? With Scheider’s Pretzels on the side? Then we can commiserate!
I’m allergic to morphine, so I’m probably allergic to other opiates, and it’s possible some of the children are. We’ll just have to learn by observation what’s going on with each child, and what helps them.
I respect doctors, in general, but I’ve run into enough who didn’t know a thing about childbirth and breastfeeding that I know they don’t know everything. I liked Dr. Dayal, the neurologist. She wasn’t in a rush to do extra tests or to prescribe anything, but agreed that we needed more information, since this isn’t an emergency situation.
I’m having a Libation, and Joann promised wine at the Stewardship meeting at church tonight.
There is enough information on the web about everything that could ever happen to people, that a person need NEVER go into a doctor’s office unaware.
I have maybe two dozen books on natural medicines/ homeopathic “cures” and “kitchen remedies.” If something isn’t logical to me, I will consult ALL the books and find what is the best course of action. Sometimes, a medical doctor is the answer. And at that point, I’m willing to listen.
Push comes to shove, I will go with home/homeopathic/herbal remedies for the simple reason that herbal healing has been around longer than “doctors.” In fact, it hasn’t been too long in our past that the “doctors” were actually “shamans” and “medicine wo/men.”
What I know for sure is that herbal stuff takes care of what is ailing me. I can research migraines, if you wish, but your kids may not like the “cures!”
It will happen sooner than you think.
