Eventually, either through stupid scientists saying it is a good idea, or some other form of intervention: cats will be bipedal and have thumbs. Man will be crushed under their furry paws.

I was sort of wondering what sort of oddball kittehs I have, since they articulate Vietnamese sounds and a lot of Chinese-sounding vocalizations. The lord of catnip sounds like all four of ours. “Nyark” doesn’t sound like any of ours. I was beginning to think that our cats were subversives or spies. (Maybe too many Nelson De Mille’s novels?) Subversive kittehs are scary.

Good morning.
It rained all night. So I’m told. It was sprinkling when I woke up. It’s a balmy 73, with humidity of 87%. No wind.
Lablady came over yesterday, and brought some photos of her dad and other family members, and I will scan them and give them back to her ASAP.
She said she had started on her personal history, but unlike her dad, she was not going to paint herself as pristine. She is going to tell it like it really was, she said.
Well, I say, that’s good. I hope being an adult for 25+ years has given her the gift of insight and honesty. And I really MUST get busy on my own...
