The heartgard meds were $100 each for a yrs supply plus $12 rebate on each from manufacturer. The Novartis plant that made sentinel was closed so now they are these chunks. The receptionist referred to them as little meatloafs.

If the bubble dwellers would actually meet with and listen to their constituents when they are home from DC, they might understand reality once again...

That is the same price here for a big dog like mine, but instead of a rebate I got 3 months more free the last time-small dogs are a bit less. I have to wrap everything non-treat in a piece or chicken or lunchmeat for Husky girl, or she will run off and spit it in a corner or behind the door of the bathroom...

That’s just because Robert Byrd died before he could move the entire gov’t to West Virginia. ;-)

Sorry, kids, there is no way a defunding battle ever works. Stopping the gov’t because you don’t get your way on an issue that the president was just re-elected about is not the way to win followers. The PR is horrible.

Obamacare will be stopped only once it is implemented and people get to live with the consequences of their political choices. Why are we playing the bad guy in order to shield them from the choices they made? F ‘em. Let ‘em have it, good and hard.

Don’t think that’s really metal. It’s pop. Well, as poppy as Metallica gets. Sandman is no Creeping Death.

Since spending originates in the House, the House has repeatedly funded it. Ergo they are for it. Have been for it.

Reminds me of the one about the hunter and the bear, after the bear sneaks up on the hunter and has his way with him for the third time he says to the hunter “you aren’t hear for the hunting are you?”.

I don’t think the Repubs are hear for the hunting.

F ‘em. Let ‘em have it, good and hard.

Ahh the let it burn philosophy. Actually I like that one.

The problem is come January 1 a lot of middle class people get put on the welfare that is the health care premium support.

Once you do that, politics is over. Or at least conservative politics.

I am a firm believer in meliorism with God’s help. Unfortunately, the more I age the more that I see only God’s hand in the improvements. Human beings have proven to be a huge disappointment — especially my own efforts.

Sorry to be late to class this AM. I had to meet my IT guy early this AM to practice triage on my laptop. It’s not well, but the bleeding has stopped. Plus he helped me to move an underused GIANT flat screen monitor into my office to substitute for a smaller monitor. Why didn’t I do that 2 years ago? What a difference it makes!

Target, Sam’s Club, and Walmart all sell pet medications much cheaper than the vet. In fact, my last vet sent me there, rather than carrying them herself.

Do you really think the middle class is going to benefit from this? I don’t. If such a thing happened, it would be the first time.

Come October 1 a lot of people are going to be swimming in confusion trying to work through the application process. And getting their hours reduced.

Then comes the announcements from companies about dropping healthcare altogether.

People want a trainwreck, give ‘em a trainwreck.

Do you honestly see a happy ending coming if the house decides it will pass no budget, debt ceiling raise or continuing resolution that funds Obamacare?

I don’t. It would be another PR disaster. People will only hear that the GOP is being stubborn about the law that the SCOTUS affirmed and the people affirmed when they re-elected Obama.

Obama deliberately set the implementation for after his re-election. Cause he knows it will be disastrous.

Bring it on. We should be suing to force the employer mandate.

Isn’t that the song that says “So let it be done-
To kill the first-born pharaoh’s son”? That was the second song in the rock block. Sandman was pretty much the least dark of what they played. Metal just goes well with some dark or angry lyrics, I think. My neighbor blasts dark metal stuff in his workshop every Saturday-one of his favorites is “DOA”-and I’ve never heard of some of the groups-he told me one band is from Germany-figures...
