Aww, thanks! We have two black cats, and Cathy looks just like our Hubey in that first shot. Pets are remarkable. [Is Cathy showing some ‘tude in that second shot?]
I’ll continue to pray that your little Cathy pulls through...and in the meantime it sounds like you’ve taken some good lessons from it. Not to mention that you’ve given her a good life and lots of love. And IMHO, we will be reunited with our pets in heaven.
Cathy is MADE out of 'tude.
In fact, her name is a semi-acronym: CAT Hates You.
C A T H Y
LOL! You should post that picture of Zippy with Cathy in the background. You can really see her tude then! But she LUVS her hooman.
OK, this is serious but not impossible. Background: Here’s how I saved my cat. My cat Herb got out of the apartment while I was away. Live-in cat sitter was an idiot and didn’t even call me. So he was lost for a week. I got home, put up notices, someone found him on the roof, seriously ill. He’d been into caustic substances, was literally green. Rushed him to vet. Vet said, “This is death we’re looking at.” His tongue was green. He smelled like decay. Of course his liver was involved in the poisoning. One ear was half gone where he’d licked his paw and tried to wash it, but with caustic chemicals.
We saved his life, he went on to live another 17 happy years. Here’s what I did:
I went home and made my favorite Adelle Davis people formula:
Calves liver (MUST be organic)
Brewer’s yeast
Vitamin E capsules
Wheat germ
cook 1/4 pound liver in water for just a little while, until it’s not pink. No more. Cut into pieces, put in blender or food processor
Stick a pin into a couple of Vitamin E caps and squeeze in contents
Add a half teaspoon of Brewers Yeast and another of wheat germ.
Blend until smooth. You can add some of the liver-cooking water to make it the right consistency to lap up.
I took this to the vet’s office fresh every morning. Vet did whatever vets do, Herb lapped up his dinner from home while lying on his side. He was at vet’s for at least a week.
Came home. Had lost all of the raspy things on his tongue, half an ear was gone, and both ears lost most of their fur...but a lot of that fur grew back. Not the raspy things though. He got strong and sassy and lively and wonderful again and never got sick again until he was 19 and got dementia.
I think the vet was wonderful, I know I poured all my love into that liver formula, and the formula was miraculous.
So Laz, keep the faith, try the formula if you possibly can, and Cathy will stand a very good chance of recovering.
Further to my post at 145: Glad Cathy has a reasonable prognosis. Feed her the formula as she recovers. It will almost guarantee good health and full recovery. You can have some too :)
-lol- Love it!
Your kittehs are so kyoot! Miss Slippy adores that picture. Thanks for posting it. Reminds us of our wild twins.
FR is the wind in your sails, Laz. Stay on the boat and we’ll bring you on home. Still praying for ya.

Continued prayers for both y’all...
Malcolm doesn’t really grasp the concept of prayer but he says
he wants all cats to be “happy and good”.. which I guess is close enough for a cat.
I didn’t mention the issue to Lizzy, as she.. well. She ain’t an empathetic soul.
Holler at me if you need to, I gotcher back bro.
Thanks bro
Laz, thanks for the update. Have prayed again for your little girl and for you.
Cats are such wonderful creatures, you wonder what inspired God to create them.
You have a great perspective on things, too.
Now, go stink up some more clothes to bring to your kitty.
Amen to that!
Update on my little girl Cathy:
She was even better yesterday when I saw her. I could muster some pink in her ears by rubbing them, though they still have a yellowish cast. The yellow does seem to be becoming paler. That’s good.. While she did get tired, she was even more energetic than yesterday. I feel the Bilirubins are coming down, and I would hope (and pray) that the rest of the readings will become normal in time. I spend upwards of 1.5 hours in contact with her (2.5 hours at the place). She spent time in my lap for the first time, went to sleep there for a bit. When I went out for a smoke break (YESSSS I am on cigs again), when I came back, she’d be peeking around the corner of her cage looking for me. She’s all lovey-dovey on me, with some good energy. While the blood test is the real milestone she needs to pass, I cannot help but be encouraged by her behavior.
Such good news Laz! Will keep you and your sweet Cathy in my prayers!
I feel it is, and thank you for the continued prayers!
Still offering up prayers for Cathy and for you as well, ya big hunk. ;-)
Great Living Light who created all and is all that is please grant your Cathy a return to health and comfort those in need.
