Thanks...nice tune. :)
I have a friend who was born in Vietnam and she told me that everyone listens to country music over there. My friend learned English by listening to country lyrics. I asked her they ever listen to rock music and she said not many because you can't understand what they are saying; rockers mash their words together.
When I visited Spain, U.S. country music CDs were in every store I visited. So, our country music is really the world's country music.
No one comes close to Dean Martin singing this in the movie Rio Bravo.
I’m not a huge fan of country music, but I like a few Don Williams, Marty Robbins, Glen Campbell, and John Denver. The old guys. That’s great that such original American music is appreciated world wide.
Your post reminded me of this though from 2008:

Thanks, made my day!
And you telling me that made mine! A win-win! :)
Pandora bookmark.
I have several of his albums, but I can only play them on my Discman, as the CD player in the truck only works when it wants to. *hmpf* I can’t leave the big stereo plugged in, as I have a neighbor with a HAM radio and some of the language he uses is enough to assault my virgin ears. The FCC won’t do anything about him.
I thought ham operators were supposed to be a cut above the rest!
This one is lower than a snake’s belly in a wagon rut. His language is the worst I’ve ever heard coming from one mouth.
(Makes me wonder if he eats with the same mouth...)
On this video, at 2:10, Ricky Nelson sings another good one:

Kind of strange, but Mrs. JohnnyP asked me to make a CD from that youtube last year. We go to sleep by it.
Watch the faces of the Duke and Walter Brennan during these two songs. The delight is evident.
That’s right - it’s the theme of Red River. Forgot about that. Lovely tune.
I love Don Williams, he is right up there with Willie Nelson in my book.
I’ll have to go back and check that out. Love Walter Brennan’s voice. Such a good character actor.
