Fact of life: When seconds count the police are only minutes away.
Not a criticism - that’s just how it is.
The only solution is to either hire an armed guard or serve as your own personal security.
‘’Police are not legally bound to keep us safe by preventing violence and crime. Police are called Law Enforcement Officers because they are expected to enforce the law. However, the law can only be enforced after it has been broken in a free society.’’
Bingo! This is a point many I’ve talked to struggle to grasp. Police officers are not the public’s bodyguards. For the most part they’re the clean-up crew. (With the utmost respect for the job they do, of course.)
You still have a lot to learn.

Confessions of an Ex-Liberal Gun Owner Part III Some Question
Please see Part IV in my series “Confessions of an Ex-Liberal Gun Owner”. I hope that you find these posts interesting.
Thank you for your time and help. Seems that I need all the help that I can get these days.
Thank you for your service to our nation and for that necessary reminder. What you said is certainly true. I have more posts to follow this one. In fact, my next post is entitled “Lessons Learned” ironically; so, it seems I am moving in the right direction in that regard.
I would be happy to ping you on my future posts if you would like me to do so.
I also like, "I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop."
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I know how you feel because so many people have bought in to the myth of police protection of the individual and “instant response 9-1-1”.
Thank you for your comments.
The truth is sometimes harsh and critical, but it is always necessary. The best solution is to accept personal responsibility for your own safety and security lawfully and ethically with the help of the police.
I have been anti Communist (and later anti Socialist) since the early fifties when I was sent home from grade school for anti Communist speech (yep, the government schools were being turned left that far back), but it's only the last twenty years that I really figured out how the Marxists have done it.
It took me that long spending an entire life on the right.
My pleasure. The news about the schools turning left is not new to me. The Marxists are masters of indoctrination through the schools. They wanted the union-controlled Federal Department of Education to centralize their indoctrination program.

I dont find your posts interesting.
Did Q-manrn ping you?
Not at all.
I'm sure Q-manrn won't ping you anymore.
Did you j@ck off onto a photo of Bill Clinton (overseen, of course by the police)?
Gods speed...
Odd phrasing don't you think? I didn't understand the posts.
Your comments would be appreciated.

I will make my next series of posts about escaping liberal zombies! Perhaps that will be more action-oriented. :)
Thank you M Kehoe.
This is an excellent and clear series of essays that gets at an important issue, how a liberal thinks about one particular subject, self-defense. The focus is on the liberal’s inaccurate beliefs about the roles and capabilities of police. That is useful information. It is up to the reader to determine how to apply this information to their own experiences with liberals. I see the liberal view of police as similar to the view presented in movies, where the police or the rescuer, whomever that is, comes to the rescue at the last minute saves the day. Police and other public servants, EMT’s for example, aren’t able to protect you in many instances and place emphasis on protecting themselves. They don’t enter dangerous situations till the danger is gone. This isn’t a criticism, it is simply the nature of their jobs. Many of them go to extraordinary lengths at time to help others.
However, a child or someone who doesn’t have a real understanding of crime or the nature of self-defense, can operate under some serious misconceptions, as the author has made clear. As time goes on, I hope more liberals gain a better understanding of these issues, else, there are many opportunistic politicians who will strip them of their freedoms.
Thank you! You are another excellent reader and I like your movie analogy as a compliment to my superhero analogy from my first post.
I hope so too as far as liberals gaining a better understanding of the issues. I know how easy it is to be seduced by the nanny-state mentality because I was seduced by it.
