Gosh, that’s a shame. I think Spinal Tap had more than that at their last gig.

Some might try to compare Paula Deen, but despite all of her problems, sales of her cookbook have gone through the roof.

After Ms “Short and Stupid” made her anti-Bush remarks, a lefty/lib lieutenant claimed that their album “Not ready to make nice” was a big seller. I tried to explain to her that the media deviated from the usual standard by reporting number shipped instead of number sold.

I have followed the Dixie Chicks since shortly after they formed as the original four Chicks in the early 90s. They were not political until they hooked up with Natalie's big mouth.
Both the sisters are classically-trained musicians. Emily actually rescued the banjo from its "Deliverance" days and made it a respectable instrument.
Back in the good old days, before Natalie, there was nothing sweeter than the Dixie Chicks 3 to 4 part harmonies.

Bela Fleck rescued the banjo from that fate.

Paula Deen didn’t attack her fanbase like the Dixie Ijits did.

One of the Dixie Chicks (Mel B) is working as a judge on America’s got Talent (we saw her during a taping a month ago in Hollywood).
To: dfwgator
It’s still early in the process. It’s possible that some, if not many of those who are continuing to support her will quietly walk away from her in the coming months. People are often hesitant to admit that they were wrong.

Bela Fleck was not heard by all of country music.

Gotta love the Flecktones...although I liked Bella much more when he was a member of New Grass Revival...my all-time favorite contemporary bluegrass band. I have seen them in concert a bunch of times...can’t believe the range John Cowan has.

One of the best banjo players was Wendy Holcombe of AL. She died way too young. She was very young when she started playing. I started thinking about her last year but could not remember her name. I found her name recently on a site about banjo players from the state.
