Well, it did save about a thousand bucks in cremation expense.

A lot of coming out of the closet? No, Subaru has turned a lot of heads with its WRX and new BRZ models, which definitely aren't associated with rainbow bumper stickers.

If you want a car that is made with non-union American labor and has majority USA made/sourced materials in it, Toyota and Honda are the two best choices.

I'm with you. I needed to dump my 2001 Chrysler 300M that I bought new. It had 186k miles on it and the transmissione had picked up a shudder. For our needs I was looking at the Ford Focus. But when I saw what they were selling them for it put me in the price range of what I really wanted, so I bought that.
I LOVE my commute on the twisties of Kentucky now!

Ill bet VW could climb a notch or two up that list if theyd bring that mid-sized TDI pickup truck into the US market.I'd certainly consider buying one.

To be clear, that is not mine, but it is exactly what mine looks like. And yea, Kentucky doesn’t do front license plates. I got tickets for not having one for every car I owned in Seattle.

BTW, my wife just rented a Focus for a long driving trip. We rent a lot of cars. This is the only rental car that she actually called me from the road to complain about. It cracked me up because she mentioned a lot of stuff I didn’t like about them either.
I understand they have a terriffic transaxle, though.

What, no Tesla? No FIAT Super-Mini??
To: IYAS9YAS
I almost pulled the trigger on a TDI VW before I settled on the FRS. My 122 mile round trip commute was a major reason. But I did the T-Chart and got what I got because of its contents.

Agree about Ford. I like Audi above the other luxury brands however.

Interesting.
Here’s actual auto industry tracking, from a site where sales are sliced and diced a lot of ways:

Best selling vehicles YTD:
F150, Silverado, Camry, Accord, Altima, Ram, Fusion, Corolla/Matrix, Civic, Escape

No FIAT Super-Mini??I actually rent those from time to time for urban needs. A little underpowered, but the stereo is pretty good and it's a cheap rental.

We have had and loved Fords for a number of years; my car is a 99 Ford that is still going strong.
On the other hand, the Wife’s Honda Odyssey is a great vehicle, great price, great service; better than any other vehicle we have ever owned.
Ford is still the only domestic car I would consider but Honda and Toyota are ready to take the stage as #1.
