Tubes are old technology. I like to remind people that New York City had a city-wide pneumatic-tube package delivery service over a hundred years ago. The system was allowed to decay, but its capabilities have not been duplicated to this day.

Star Trek's turbo-lift was my primary inspiration. That's a system that moves passengers both vertically and horizontally. But you'll notice they have a very two-dimensional thinking in that design; it only works in synthetic gravity, where every destination has the same gravity orientation.

Our three Habitats rotate about a common axis of rotation, and each has a local gravity orientation 120 degrees off from its neighbor. Ergo, a system that slowly re-orients itself as the passenger travels. Ergo, a tube system with spherical elevator cars.

I do not want this to be one of those moments but a do it yourself maybe is called for. Is either color coded or straight wired or combination. Should be fairly easy to restore if not cut and covered and unable to find. Prayers for exposure on all cuts.

Electromagnetic tubes for transport are a new development, but they have been envisioned for acceleration, and for subsequent launch assist devices, for quite some time.

A sensible inter-city tube transport could be developed using magnetic levitation, and assisted gravity, by simply coasting downward to a lover-level tube to accelerate, and then continuing in relatively friction-free motion until the destination city is reached, then rising to a higher level to slow and stop at a station.

If the magnetic levitation is accomplished mainly by super-cooled superconducting coils on the trains, and permanent magnets on the “tracks”, then the system is relatively low-energy, other than the building costs. Notice that the trains could still run, or at least complete their motion, even during a power interruption.

one problem for those seeking an answer ... unknown is all the star frequencies for capture of power to make the speed required to cause pull and repulsion. Those answers are available but I ain’t gonna tell.
