BoB,missed the sarcasm.
Hard to know ohow old Freepers are, and there are a lot of them here to whom the whole Blazing Saddles meme is mystifying.
I, too, saw it in Feb. ‘74 when it came out in the theaters. We were in the midst of freezing our @sses off in the middle of the first oil crisis, and I laughed for two solid hours. My sides hurt the next day. The theater laughed as one. Never saw anything like it.
Those were dark days and the two hours of laughs were just what the doctor ordered.
