They had Kahn’s at Three Rivers in Pittsburgh, too.
Just had some Hebrew National dogs on the grill yesterday - delicious? Nothing like an all beef hot dog. The Costco ones are good too but they are HUGE.
Do you know where to get some of their(or whomever acquired them) products?
Not sure but former Dodgers/Giants mamager Leo Durocher, with backing from the mob, J. Edgar Hoover, Frank Sinatra, and Joe D. controlled all concessions at both the Polo Grounds and Ebbets......
I wonder what brand of hot dogs Rutt’s Hut uses? Going to Google that right now.....
"The wieners are now sourced from Thumans in Carlstadt, New Jersey. They are 60 percent beef, 35 percent pork and 5 percent cereal filling. They used to be from an independent butcher. [1] The wieners were apparently once deep-fried in beef tallow, but now apparently vegetable oil is used at 350 F / 176 C. [2]"
I think Hebrew National are slightly better than Nathan’s because they fill out the bun better.
I used to go to Callahan’s in Ft. Lee (right next to another place—Hiram’s. Deep-fried hot dogs...Good stuff (don’t know what’s in them...don’t want to know...)
Good Guess....
I went to Callahans, too, and their hot dogs were quite good. But Rutt’s Hut was our family tradition for generations, going back to the 30s.
If this article is right HMS is owned by Aramark and provides concessions to most parks.

No help there, FRiend. Sorry
Yeah, it says the Dodger Dog inventor (Arthur) went back to his Coney Island upbringing and the Nathan’s hot dogs at Ebbitt Field. True or not, who knows? Even following up on Stevens’s bio and devlopment of the concession busines doesn’t get into what brand of dawgs he sold.
Best hotdogs I’ve had came from Omaha Steaks, I kid you not. A blend of beef, pork and chicken.
My parents and their friends used to go there. That would be the thirties. It was one of our Sunday night supper places when we were kids: big meal at midday, no cooking at night—the Polish deli or Rutt’s.
We went there as kids, too. On Sundays and even Mother’s Day! It was my parents’ favorite date spot when they were in high school in the 30s.
Schickhaus >>
I just love their bologna. Don’t eat any other brand.
We had a FReeper reunion at Rutts!! We had a great time and should do it again.
We buy from Usingers. They FedEx them. I vacuum pack and freeze them.
