Heads up, Saturday night Race!
|
It looks like Keselowski and Logano will be losing their crew chiefs for on two races. The fines and points taken away still stands though. Shucks!
David Ragan was thrilling.
I think I spied Danica crying after the pile-up.
I am going to be on vacation and unsure if I can make a Saturday night ping.
News (I haven't seen any fun car threads on FR this week):

I have to say, I felt bad for Danica. After her amazing miss of the previous wreck, and running near the front, that had to have hurt.
Darlington can get almost as wild as the restrictor tracks. Wonder who gets whacked this race.
Oh I felt bad for Danica too. She’s the only reason we watch. Someday she will make history.
Should be an interesting race. I think the Gen6 will do pretty good adding Darlington Stripes to the walls.
I was at ‘Dega and I will comment on a few things, it was intersting that Ricky Stenhouse was leading the 1st pack and Danica the 2nd. I’ve been a Dale Sr./Junior fanfrom day 1 of my NASCAR days. But Danica Patrick is not your idea of a “girl” driver, No sir, that girl can drive.
seeing her get around KB coming down the track... it was good.
I didn’t whar Danica said after the race sunday but it seemed to me that if she had kept going straight she might have avoided the flying car. It looked like she saw the car flying through the air and decided to go up the track to avoid it and thats where she hit the person on her right and then she wrecks herself. I haven’t really watched alot of NASCAR lately but aI enjoyed watching the end of that race on sunday.
Bump...
She drove her car into the wall
I became a Nascar fan at the age of 11 in 1978 and watched it religeously on tv and listened on radio up until about 2002 or 2003. It changed to the point I just didn’t care for it anymore, but I did manage to watch some of the super speedway race this past Sunday. It was worth it to watch the Hendricks dynasty get denied a sweep for a change.
I have to tell you, I think as much as people like to dislike the Hendrick’s team, they have done to Nascar what Tiger Woods did to golf. A few years ago they so dominated the sport, week in, week out, it made other teams step up to the plate.
Disclaimer, I am a Jeff Gordon fan. But I also like rooting for Michael Waltrip, Mark Martin, and kiddos like Trevor Bayne. Oh, the Aussie (too early in the morning for my brain to engage).
I used to dread when Juan Pablo got close to my favorite drivers, but kind of enjoy watching and hoping to see him win. Kurt Busch was the bad boy no one liked, but wow, he has grown up and has the drive to be a historical star. And even though there is a bit over-the-top attention given to Danica, I look forward to seeing her win at least one race. She is determined and week after week she is getting better and staying closer to the front.
But, don’t get me started on their PC stunts. Ugh. NRA 500 still chaps my hide.
I'm not a fan of Danica, but
6 top ten finishes in 7 Indy 500s.
That's a very good accomplishment.
She does have good instincts and is doing OK with the minimal OJT she’s had.
82 degrees w/20 percent humidity. Weather is great but snow is always a possibility in the high-desert.
