Empty calories
Apparently there are not enough wild animals and “open space” in France?
Seems sort of like a Hitchcock plot, what with vultures and buzzards massing in unusual numbers on the east coast earlier this spring.
As far as their going for live prey, what did the French expect after depriving them of their natural diet?
Given the general bass-ackward wackiness of environmentalists in general and the French in particular, they’ll probably start requiring healthy cattle be killed and left in the field to solve the problem.
The carrion luggage was long gone....
“We don’t need no steeenkin sauce!”
I recall a thread not too long ago about a vulture shortage that was impacting the Zoroastrian religion.

If only the Germans would attack France again, the vultures would have plenty to eat.
If only the vultures could speak they’s tell us it tasted like... chicken!
My neighbor lost a visitor’s little dog to a very large hawk.
In a way, the woman was lucky. Some of us are being devoured by vultures while still alive!
The vultures serve a useful purpose - French cooking schools use them as testers .... if the vultures won’t eat it, then a large portion of the French people won’t eat it.
I never cared for French food myself, but what the heck.
