Condolences to family and friends of Jeff Hanneman.
He was a celebrity endorser for Jagermeister - there’s the answer. He and co-guitarist Kerry King are even on Jagermeister’s new TV commercial.
Sad news, I was always a fan. Last time I saw Slayer was at an Ozzfest several years back.
I remember seeing Slayer with Exciter and Mercyful Fate in the 80’s.

Another article says he had contracted a rare skin tissue disease and had been fighting it for awhile.
It originated with a spider bite that wrecked havoc on his body, prevented touring etc. and caused the flesh eating disease necrotising fasciitis, although the drugs involved in any treatment could have lowered his immunity as well. RIP
If this is true it would have been nice to have that upfront. When any musician dies so young drugs and alcohol are the first thoughts especially with liver damage. Either way may he RIP and may his family be consoled by God.
Awful music. If you can even call it music.
