Keith pointed out, and I see now, the Lux episode really is called “O.S.S.” Keith said that’s some kind of spy or intelligence agency back during the war. So, Ed was right.

The movie “O.S.S.” (1946) starred Alan Ladd, but Veronica Lake was not in the film version with him. I still have a vhs copy of the movie that I taped off a local late-show in 1984. It used to be a pretty common fixture, but a lot of films like that have since fallen through the cracks, in the past few decades.
