Sunday afternoon race!
|
Sunday afternoon race. Sorry for being late this week, so busy! Fantasy picks are due overnight!
Snow is almost melted here after one of our biggest snow totals for the season!
And still grumbling about that NRA 500...
My Penske boys really have their work cut out for them. It’s gonna be tough at Kansas. A long, green, follow the leader race. Oy. I’m not really looking forward to this one.
Perfect napping opportunity. I am pretty good at waking up when the announcers change their voice.
Although, I am still mad at Fox and Nascar over the last race, so I won’t be watching.
Hopefulling the new gen 6 car can do some passing, but I don’t expect any sort of real competition or excitement.
6 races into the season and I’m already 300 points behind in the FReeper league...
Sigh, I am last place. I missed the first race, so that doesn’t help. Forgot to change my drivers last week, not that it would have made a difference. Had Jeff Gordon for two races, and he was oh so close for two races...
Got about three feet of snow last week. Had to drive to Colorado Springs two days during storma. Lots of people driving way too fast and sliding off the road. Lots of rollovers including one SUV that was going so fast it rolled for about 100 yards.
Hope they don’t have any tornadoes in Kansas. We all know how that works out!
Thank you for the thread.
We’ll watch the recorded race late Sunday afternoon. Seems like there’s twice as much to do this Spring and only half the time to do it. Nice weather is on tap for next week and the week after. Bout time after all the late season snow.
Will you tell your little FRiend in Coolorado that I met Glenda the Wicked Witch of the Midwest when I was putting the garbage can out Wednesday...
DRAT!!! foiled again...
I got 5, :-). But wow.
I think we got close to that. It is hard to tell, Monday morning it was melting as fast as it fell, but even then, when I left for work, the snow was 3-4” deep. Dug car out after work. Dug car out next morning. By the time I got home Weds night, I think I had 12-14” of snow sitting on ground.
He probably knows Glenda’s gone. When it gets colder than a witches t-t in those rockies witches tend to fly to a more moderate climate. She didn’t cast a spell on you, did she??
I thought Glenda went to Hawaii for winter. Maybe she was coming back and got tired and looked for the nearest witch landing pad. By some coincidence, Tubebender must have a witch landing pad next to his compost pile.
Have never seen Glenda in Hawaii but have seen the compost pile in question. Btn the heat and smell of said pile I’m betting Glenda has never made it any further SW.
Kenseth on the pole. The force is with the Toyota’s this year. The #2 team gets whacked big time for questionable parts issues but not the drivers mouth. Denny Hamlin can’t believe it after his fine. If I don’t spend some time on research when I pick my drivers I’m gonna get whacked too. It could be that when you’ve been to the top of the mountain you lose the desire to climb again and speaking of cars we might take the 335i on our 4 day business trip on Monday. Weather is supposed to be good; my only issue is the ROCK left over on the pass roadway. Department of Transportation uses for the snow and ice. It’d destroy that paint and window on the BMW in a heartbeat if another car or truck kicked it up. I think I’m talking myself outa taking it.
One of our neighbors just sold their house and moved out yesterday. They’re moving to Brookings!! They took my advice (why I don’t take my own advice I’m not sure) and sold at the high end of the market here and bought in the economically depressed Curry County area. I told them to buy about 2 miles up the Chetco River and not on the coast. I also told them where you were and said they could take anything from your garden they wanted since your dog is only half bark and no bite. They ride BMW motorcycles and he is bald w/a ring in his ear. Seriously.
Has anyone gotten 19 Q points before?
We have big problems with rocks and gravel here. I have never had a windshield last even a year without getting cracked. Trying to figure out what to do with the Audi to reduce this.
I have Weather Tech floor mats for the S6 that arrived yesterday. They look really well made. The Audi is still a month away from arriving by ship in Houston.
