Exactly! And exactly why they closed the pool when storms were on the way where I lived...they ALWAYS had lightning! The City wasn't about to take responsibility for a pool full of dead kids.
Brilliant! There’s no sign of his getting a job offer here, so far. He just sleeps.
Hi, everyone. I’ve been working on standardized testing with the byos. Tom took Elen, Sally, and Pat to an Envirothon meeting, after a stern lecture on devoting 100% of his attention to driving, and 0% to bickering with his siblings. And I remembered that I’m going to ask DP to take the radio out of the purple car!
Ungh. Taking a radio out of a car that is driven by teenagers is a desoerate move. But I believe the less distractions there are, the better the driver will pay attention.
Good luck!
Most places require an adult in the right front seat when a teen is driving, or the teen has to be driving alone. The adult can make sure the teen pays attention by smacking him/her upside the head when he/she seems to be doing anything else, like enjoying the music, bickering with siblings, or ogling bikini babes.
That last might not be a problem outside of Florida, but it got me a lot of head-smacks when I was learning to drive.
We were so far out in agricultural country, that learning to drive was boring. The most exciting thing was to stop at the railroad tracks.
Nothing to see here...except during “thinning” season, when the lads were out in the fields...
At Tom’s current licensing level, he can drive without an adult between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Passengers can be one other person under 21 who is not a sibling, OR any number of siblings that will fit in the car ... but not both. (This is a bit of a nuisance, because it means he can’t drive himself, Elen, and Cecilia to youth group, or himself, Elen, and Addie to Venture meetings.)
Elen can drive with an approved adult supervisor, only between 5 and 9, but other passengers can be anyone.
So it is true!![]() The Quickbrownfox really did jumpsoverthelazydog! |
The dog doesn’t look lazy, exactly ... more like “clueless.”
EU regulations controlling the distribution of weather.
AlGore only has to control it for one Country ,some unelected Eurocrat has to control if for (26?) so things are bound to get chaotic.
Well if he doesn’t have a job or at least a solid offer by July 1 he’s SOL so...
Imagine if you were so hungry you would do that because you thought you heard a mouse.
He seems to be planning on the trip. Even if he got an offer here, he’s not crazy about any of the choices. I might strongly advise he take a job with Target, since that would be likely to last, and provide health benefits when I invite him to leave permanently.
If he doesn’t put his toe into the real-life waters soon, we may have to hire an excavator and dig a basement for him!
Hi TC,
Thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog
.Thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog
..Thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog
...Thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog
....Thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog, etc, was a test pattern we used to send to the old dot-matrix printers when testing the system set-up.
If it came out in the wrong printer it wouldn’t cause trouble. :)
It was a practice sentence in typing class because it uses all the letters of the alphabet. We would have to type it repeatedly, while the instructor watched to make sure we weren’t looking at the keys.
LOL
He just takes it on trust that it is a mouse he’s heard and not a rock having a scratch.
IE10 wouldn’t show it agin, hope they fix this soon.
There isn’t a target here.
