Thanks Girlene. He didn't like my answer, indicating much more bias towards an anti- posititon than he would like to admit.
The Onion piece mocks the position the background checks have danger to them. I showed concrete examples that background checks and delays can be dangerous. To him, these were 'copy and paste', 'anectodal' examples... Hmmmm... copy and paste anecdotal examples, you say? Similar to those who copy and paste the names of the children in Sandy Hook?
I have taken to saying that Democrats do not work in the bounds of a double standard, since we hold to a standard, and they hold no standard at all. They simply do as they wish with utterly no compuncture or (in the media) penalty whatsoever.
