Grab the rifle calibers. .243; .270; .308; .30-06. Don’t let the bastards get within 250 yards of you and yours.
Cheaper than Platinum (for now)
CTD is the highest priced of those that have AR ammo. And that Lake City 5.56 wasn’t $350 last year.
Today I bought Independence 5.56 55 grain for $10.99 a box of 20 at my local gun store. Unusual of course. But they have had Lake City 5.56 in ammo boxes of 900 rounds for $750 the last 2 weeks.
Not my first choice, but they have WPA Classic .223 for $460 a thousand today. Works fine in my RRA, but adds a good bit of time to the cleaning of the firearm.
You want to find ammo, don’t shop online, find smaller local gun shops.
Hornady’s web site says that 5% of their sales go to the gummermint.
Bottom line is that thinking people in this country are seriously arming up. For good reason, IMO. And, I think that this current shortage is a fair price to pay for that, and the awakening that is responsible for it. Crunch time is coming my friend.
Went into the local big box store That Shall Not Be Named (Dicks) and all they had was 16 and 28 gauge #6 shot.
Had to laugh since I have a 16 and in the old days they rarely had any - 12 or 20 filled the racks.
Left ‘em there since they were overpriced and I stocked up last year.
Insanity!!
I’d just go ahead and reload my own ‘till the prices go back down. Problem solved.
Cheers
Its almost getting time to sell some.
When the SHTF, I figure I can pick up the ammo off of the dead bodies (of barry’s civilian army).
I will never buy anything from Cheaper than dirt.
