One good thing about hogs, they like to eat snakes. It may be interesting to see how things shake out in Florida.
I had no idea there were SO many of these things. I just remember that the bounty on wolves out west worked so one on feral pigs might too.
Here in NH we do not have a feral hog problem. However, the eastern coyote is getting to be an issue around here. With the mild winters they have been multiplying to the point they are coming into suburban backyards and killing small dogs and occasionally attacking small children. They have been killing cats for years. They are becoming more and more aggressive.
The eastern coyote is bigger than its western sister. They hunt in packs just like wolves.
My Ex told me about when she was a little girl (family of 11) growing up in NE Arkansas, the pigs would often get out of the sty and into the coal pile. They would eat the coal and eat their young. .....Yes, pigs will eat anything!
