Tesla was an interesting cat, black tuxedo cat with white whiskers sprouting from black cheeks.
And these “you love me?” looks.
He did not want to come indoors, he was content with being outside.
Which is what did him in.
About the longest he came indoors for was ten minutes, and even then he stuck to the kitchen area by the door.

LOL! That reminds me of my much-lamented 8” plaster statue of Pope John Paul II, lost when several children who were old enough to know better played baseball in the dining room. Fortunately, we did not then have live animals in the living room, or there could have been carnage as well as (sniffle) miniscule plaster shards and (sniffle) one pathetic hand.

We probably don’t pronounce words properly anymore. Jerk is pronounced “jerk,” but work is pronounced “werk.” I do NOT understand why work is not pronounced like “fork” work/fork.
Massively confusing. No wonder no one wants to try to learn American English.
