The transit method makes finding tight orbits easier as well. A planet that has a transit every few days is naturally going to be easier to spot than one that only transits once every 365 days.

That’s it then, I’m off. Except for a couple of minor engineering issues - light-speed travel, for example - the biggest problem will be TSA on the other end. Tentacles. I shall say no more.
