I am blissfully ignorant. I am enjoying the season. I did catch some chatter about Nancy tossing the cryer a line and jerking it back.

A pearl starts as a bit of debris that gets lodged in the oyster's flesh. Unable to expel it, the oyster deposits layer after layer of the same iridescent material as the "mother of pearl" that lines its shell.
Over time, these layers form a deep, lustrous thing of beauty.
A pearl is therefore, a strata-gem.
