Happy Happy Happy!
Love this family!
I love this program. The whole family is,,,uh,,,unique in today’s world.
Phil and Kay are well grounded, obviously loving, and it looks like they raised some pretty decent kids (and grandkids). The family works together, plays together, grows together, and it all works out in an environment that has God and Family at the top of the agenda.
Uncle Sy (Psy, maybe?) is an absolute hoot, along with Jace and Willy. The assorted characters around their local area provide comedic fodder week after week.
Really, now! Who could resist a redneck waterpark? Or, dropping everything at work to take off on a honey hunt? Or, doing battle with cagey beavers? Or, hauling Miss Kay’s new goats in the back of a new Escalade?
Heck, it’s worth the watch just to see the opening segment...ZZTop? Perfect!
I sometimes try to figure out who is my favorite but I like them all......they are good people....
I am becoming hooked on Duck Dynasty, really good show.
If we compare this family to another TV family, Kartrashians....
Duck Dynasty has more class and family respect than any of the Trashians.....
I’ve only seen a couple of episodes and I think some of the stuff is pretty contrived, but they did end both of the episodes I saw with everyone saying a heartfelt prayer before dinner.
Contrast that with “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia.”
In the Louisiana Tech alumni newsletter from ~ 10 years ago there was an article about Phil. He said he has always been able to use duck hunting as a way to talk to people about Jesus. He called it ducks and Jesus. The tidbits you see on the show related to religious beliefs is not just an adder. Phil has had this balanced love for ducks and Jesus over a long time.
We all have (or wish we did have) an Uncle Si in our family.
The dynasty crew is refreshingly frank and totally relaxed in themselves. I would like to see the real duck call manufacturing facility!

I also call that other family the Kar-trash-ians. I don’t even see why they have a show.
Love the show! Here’s another article; more about their faith. http://www.christianchronicle.org/article2159776~Faith,_family_and_ducks:_Behind_the_scenes_of_
There was a good article about them in Christian Chronicle. The family was frustrated with the producers of the show because they added bleeps to make it appear that they had cussed. They told them to stop or they would not do the show. A sweet lady I attend church with had Phil for a teacher and said he was one of her favorites. Very down to earth, good role model.
I noticed in the last couple of episodes that the “censors” are letting “in Jesus name” slip through in their prayer.
Agreed, I love Uncle Si....he is so funny and so sweet with the children....
I have noticed that and am glad to see it.
There is something dang sexy about Miss Kay (IMHO).
Maybe it’s her bisquits and honey?
HEY! If it don’t use gas or gun powder. I ain’t interested Jack!
Uncle Silas. Like a BOSS!!
