An absolutely fantastic experience!

In 1966, I was in a troubled three year old marriage, and the care and affection that Zhivago showed to the sparkling blue eyed Lara, brought tears to my eyes - (Why not me??).

The entire experience was riveting, fabulous photography, and the scene where Zhivago sees her on the street so many years later, only to call after her and die of a heart attack on the spot, was so traumatic.

The finest experience ever!

For as long as we have been enduring Obama and the harm and threat that he is to a free America, I have often had flashes of the movie in my mind - and most often it has been the scenes in which the beautiful and gracious private home was being taken over by the people. I have this exact feeling of loss as this administration dismantles the meaning and freedom of America.

A difference, though, is that the young communists in Russia were idealistic in thinking they were helping the country, and did not realize that they were destroying the country. The Obama administration knows exactly what it is doing, though.....and it WANTS to destroy the country.

I've watched parts of the movie over the years but never saw it from beginning to finish. Again I was watching it tonight but did not see the beginning to the finish, but I did realize for the first time watching it, that this could be easily our country's future. I never thought of being in the same shoes as the characters before until tonight when I watched it once again!

I always felt the film was of another scenario or circumstance in life that would never be allowed in the U.S. because of supposedly lessons learned about communism, socialism, etc. But now I see how easily freedom can slip away and be replaced by a godless, unfeeling people. God Help Us!
