I’d also like to move out of Virginia to Texas. Unfortunately, I’m about $50k underwater in my mortgage so it isn’t happening anytime soon.
Although Austin is a high tech mecca, it is ground zero for libtards in Texas. The Tyler and Dallas areas are excellent. The Woodlands north of Houston is nice and convenient to George Bush International Airport. Forget the Rio Grand Valley.
A lot of company’s left the liberal northeast and headed south, many to the state of Texas. The job market in Texas is great.
You should really look at Utah. Has the 4 seasons like Penns. Economy is good. Nebraska is where my Son moved to. He’s in Lincoln...loves it..the dollar goes along way there. Those 2 places I’d consider.
By a stroke of luck,I was born right here in Texas. And it’s a good place to be, we have some of the same garbage you have, just not as much. Employment situation isn’t too bad in Texas right now, either, especially with a boom in oilfield activity.
Well, you are already used to humidity so that should not be a consideration.
Consider Arizona. If the temps scare you, Flagstaff/Prescott are much cooler.
You may make less, but you will spend less.
Hell Yes! Move as fast as you can. I moved from PA. years ago and glad I did.
Time to prepare to be in the LEAST dangerous place when it comes to repelling the inevitable government assault on we Americans. My advice is ‘go wherever Glenn Beck goes’; That’s Texas! I’m looking at that now.. Hard to break away from family, but.. I do NOT believe 0bama won this election. It was stolen from us.. They say Republican turnout was lower than in 2008 for McCain? LOL! Of COURSE they have to tell us that to explain the 0bama win. WE KNOW THIS IS NOT TRUE.
See “Escape from California,” posted earlier.
Texans still has to pay off the DNC vote buys.
Canada is far and away more what America used to be.
Austin and environs are great for IT. Unfortunately, it’s also the most liberal section of Texas. San Antonio has a lot of military/government contractors and if you have/can get security clearances, Air Force ISR Agency and a couple of 3-letter agencies have presences here as well.
Come on down, the place is boomin’!
Do you want a large city or small one, say 100,000 people? Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio are all doing fairly well. As far as the smaller towns, try Waco, Tyler, Longview, or Corpus Christi. It depends on what type of climate you like. If you are a High Plains drifter, then it would be Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland / Odessa (oil), Abilene, or San Angelo. Midland is a boom town as it is in the middle of a large oil basin.

We have to out population the leftists and the hispanics somehow, so come on in
South Texas is expecting a lot of job growth due to the Eagle Ford shale oil business.
No worries.. Your 50k underwater disappears when the economy collapses as planned by 0bama. The ONLY reason the job market in Texas is good is because Texas is the only American state left in the union. They SHOULD secede and build a massive border fence and purchase 4 patriot missile systems for 0bama’s incoming drones. He’s had PLENTY of practice in Pakistan.
Canada has a far lower corp tax rate and doesn’t suffer from politics solely based on slavery.
I don’t know. A couple more years of Obama’s open borders and Texas will be a blue state as well.
