Right, Bruce.
I guess you weren't paying attention 2008 through 2010. Pelosi, Obama and Reid ring a bell?
What a waste of a post.

I have two memories of Springstein. Actually three if I count Keef’s comment. The first one was seeing him in a New Jersey club playing an accoustic guitar, way way before he was Springstein. He was good then. The second was hearing his early records, hearing something not right in them and having Keith Richards define it for me later in an interview. Keith said (from memory): “It sounds contrived”. The third is the Black and White Night, I think it was called, a TV special tribute to Roy Orbison with Roy in the main role, and all these big names supporting him, God only knows why, as Roy’s own band at the time was very good and perfectly adequate. But that’s shoe biz. Everyone there even Tom Waits and Bonnie Raitt, as a backup singer if you can believe that, seemed to understand his or her background role in the enterprise. Roy was the star. Then, there was the Bruce, who spoiled it for me, mugging for the camera, and taking a guitar solo during, I don’t remember, was it “Pretty Woman”? that was so inept, so amateurish, so out of place, so quadruple Siamese twins face palm, does anyone else remember it?
I agree. Very impressive list. Makes me wonder even more, why the “boss” has sold any records at all.
I had a friend years ago working on his masters here in Pugetopolis at the once great UW, who was a huge fan of the “boss”, he tried convincing me he was the Gershwin or other similar contemporary lyricist of our generation. That led to many long night debates, LOL!
I bet my former friend has different ideas today. He got his masters in marine biology. His only job in the industry post graduation, counting Dolphin catches on a Japanese trawler contract fishing in American waters! The Japanese kept him drunk and “preoccupied” and away from the line as much as they could. Ended up a building contractor, LOL!
I venture to guess many Springsteen fans are full of dissapointment and anger.
The thing with Seger is he has also helped create the music in what is now called the “new country” sound. Every major country star from the last 20 years has said that Seger’s mid-tempo, or medium songs are really what they sing....they just add a little twang. Seger also has close to 700 unpublished songs that will someday be released to the public.
Good Grief, I regret ever liking this Obama Douchebag’s songs.
Next he will singing “Born In Kenya”
Message to Bruce Springsteen, SHUT THE @#$@%@#$% UP AN SING.
Notice this hypocritical clown has no problem with his disproportionate share of the wealth.
A MESSAGE TO BRUCE SPRINGSTEIN: Don’t shut the Fluke Up, just DON’T SING!
thanks!!!!
Bruce was delighted when he signed his first record contract. After he started making a lot of money, however, he decided the contract didn't give him enough money. He went several years without an album because he sued his manager to get out of the contract. His defense was, essentially, that he wasn't bright enough to know what he was signing.
I've been a big fan for >25 years but it has always seemed odd for him to put himself out there like he is the representative of the little guy when he is chasing the dollar as much as anyone.
I hate the guy’s left wing politics, but I still think he is a fabulous entertainer. If anyone here liked his music and now hates it because of his bad politics, that is silly.
If you don’t want to buy or listen to his music or see him live, that is the perfect protest.
But I am NOT going to say his music is bad, because I don’t like his poliitics. That is not me.
But Bruce is NOT even the best singer from NJ
Live Oct 19-27, on Broadway, FRANKIE VALLI!

Dog ate my homework.
BULLSTALIN. He had a Democrat majority in the House and Senate. And the public didn't like what he did with that majority.
Shovel that somewhere else, Broooce.
I remember the Roy Orbison concert thing but only watched it maybe one time and don’t recall much other than the “all-star” lineup. I do recall Roy Orbison’s final revival though. He was starting to get attention (even tv appearances) and then passed away.
I also recall FM radio in the 1970s when things like the King Biscuit Flour Hour (or whatever they called it) was airing 3 hour Bruuuce concerts. Never did sell me on him. And the 1980s chart monster Bruce held ZERO interest for me.
"Right now, there is an ever increasing division of wealth in this country, with the benefits going more and more to the 1 percent."
Gee, I wonder if it's because of people like Bruce Springsteen- a fraud who pretends to be a farmer so he can avoid paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes (money that would have gone to the poor in NJ)...
I’ve got a message for Bruce Springsteen:
If we’ve heard one of your overrated, can’t-carry-a-tune-in-a-bucket pieces of garbage you call songs, we’ve heard them all.
How’s that, Boss?
