Here I am, hows work?

Just watched an owl for about 5 minutes, at the Turtle Tank, he never saw me. Amazing creatures.

May move to the El Grande in a little while and see if Mrs. Stompsalot shows up.

Plan on the East Stand in the a.m. and then the West Draw in the p.m. manana.

Too freaking hot for the groundblinds....

Yeah, I have been waiting on those killer LDP’s from the Michigan hunters on TBH (LDP= laying down pics, TBH=Texas Bowhunter.com)

Funny, Michigan hunters on TBH, I guess there is no MBH.com....

Want to hunt Mich. one of these days. Always some brutes taken there.

Glad top hear it. I had to go to funeral for a guy that fell out of a tree and broke his neck hunting. They think
he fell asleep.

Paul Ryan is more used to our cooler weather in WI. The guy who hunts our land (both bow and shotgun) has stealth cams posted out in my back yard. He sent me a picture of a handsome 6 pointer the other day.

It’s funny. I see the does and the fawns all the time, but I NEVER see the bucks. They stay hidden, but JJ manages to get pictures every year and he always takes one home.

But, you and Paul Ryan wouldn’t be sweating here. It’s overcast, drippy, and cold here.

Safety first. I don’t like to hear about stuff like that.

I am sorry for the loss.

Yep, That story should keep you awake. My wife worked with his wife. The first and last time I met him was at his wake.

I am after doe (or a pig/badger/cat/whatever) right now. I can kill a buck later with my .308/.223/9mm carbine/.357/whatever....

The buck are nocturnal now, won’t go into rut until about the first week in November here in N.E. Texas, regardless of what the wildlife biologists (dumbasses) say . (My eyes don’t lie to me)

I’ll be out in the woods on Sunday morning. In the fall a tree stand is my version of church. Yesterday I had 3 bucks walk by, a6 point, a bucket basket 8 pointer , And a really funny looking 11 point buck which could not have been more than 1 and 1 half years old. I lost count of the does and the yearlings which would include 3 button bucks. Probably a dozen Turkey, numerous Hawks, 2 coyotes which I did not have time to shoot , and somebody’s black lab which was laying down next to my van when I returned to it to go home. I thought it was a pretty good day. :-)
