i’ve had ooma for well over a year. the sound is very clear. i think i paid $200 for equipment at that time but made it up after 6 mos. they currently have a refer a friend program to get the equipment for $140.
The new magic jacks plug right in to the router and works great. I have one.

Having dependable communications is exactly why we have our landline, too. We’re rather remote and experience power outages often and for long periods of time. We depend on the landline to keep in contact with everyone, including the Electric Utility.
But if you do not have Verizon Phone service their Internet (15 mbps) will go up from 22.00 to about 36.00. So does this provide Internet as well? Thanks
