i am not an eeyore and i am not dispirited by polls, this is even up, regardless of what the polls show and will come down to turnout. i emailed my good friend in FL and sent her whatever demoralizing BS article that was in the NY times and said, you better be prepared to haul every person you know who is a Romney voter to the polls on election day.

my paralegal was just in here. she’s the one from PGH, with dem family galore in PA. she had said her brother in PA while not voting for Obama could not vote for Romney. Well she just spoke to him, he’s now voting FOR romney. she’s going to call her aunt tomorrow to make sure she’s still on board. she is doing her best to steer her relatives to the romney reservation.

Do non-Jews have as much trouble pronouncing "svelte" with one syllable as they do "kvetch." Or is it all "sa-velte" like "ka-vetch?"
I can say svelte just fine, but I am not as smooth with kvetch. Now that you mention it, I can say the two of them over and over and it’s getting easier.
My niece is adopted and originally from South Korea. When she went away to college other Asian students would walk up to her, but when they heard her American voice would back off. They labeled her the FakAsian. That was her nickname. The FakAsian. It was said with fondness, not in a mean way.
