seriously! glad to hear you aren’t in an old folks home yet! LOL! how about the economic stability that comes with waiting to get married and have a family? my three kids have all gone to private schools every step of the way because we considered their education our paramount concern. Twentysomethings who want to have FUN may put their own interests ahead of those of their children.
So very true! I personally wasn’t ready for children in my early twenties (besides the fact that I wasn’t married yet). I have told my three kids to get their education, find the right person they want to spend the rest of their lives with (and yes, that may take some time) and have babies when they can take care of them. I’m not saying that ALL young couples aren’t ready but I know quite a few who married, had a child and divorced (they just weren’t ready for the maturity of marriage and family). Perhaps it is the location that I live in.. but most people marry in their late 20’s and wait till their early 30’s to start a family. I never had a desire to be a grammy at 40!
