Some people are slow learners.

Does this mean the virulent Mormon bashers will be curtailed?

A week ago, JR said 2 moderators quit over the Mormon bashing.

Would be a positive development if those threads stopped. Guess we will see.

I just have to comment on the nanny mayor...

Where are all the rantipoles
As Bloomingidiot runs amok?
With no salt or a large soda
New York must really suck

Where are the variety seekers
Who want to choose their lunch-
Who don’t like tofu patties
And carrot sticks to munch?

He says baby formula now will
Be kept under lock and key-
Soon, moms buying it in alleys
From dealers is what we’ll see

Thank you!

LMAO! And I just heard Talking Heads “Life During Wartime” on the classic rock station, too-”This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco, this ain’t no foolin’ around”..

When I heard about locking up the formula like the vicodin, I had this mental picture of a woman furtively meeting a drug dealer behind a building and exchanging a roll of bills for a paper bag full of cans of baby formula-ridiculous!

Anyone who wants a kindle might want to check their local Target. Our Target just lowered the price of a $79 kindle to <$20. I grabbed two for Christmas presents. Timing is everything. If this is corporate wide, you might get a bargain, too. It’s the small 6in. model that is only out in the last year, not the kindle fire. Love mine. Holds the battery life for over a month. Well worth it. Love this Target v Amazon pricing wars going on.

This needs to be sent around. People need to be reminded what a monster obama is.

One of my neighbors asked me earlier if I knew a smoke eater-a contractor who gets rid of really pervasive smells like smoke, skunk, mold, etc-it seems that late Saturday night she let her dog out, then right back in when thunder shook this whole area and it started pouring-one of her cats was also out, and she thought it raced in beside the dog-but it was a terrified skunk, and pandemonium ensued.

While she opened the patio door and shooed it out into the yard, she was holding her barking sheltie by the collar. Skunk ran out the door, but not before liberally spraying the floor and a wall of the den. She and her dog got skunked pretty good, too, but they are washable. I gave her the number of the guy my contractor friend and I use-he is very good.

It was a loud storm-Husky girl was right beside my chair, not budging and the cats ran either for their baskets or under the kitchen table till the show was over.

Thanks! I never thought about one, but at that price, I might have to find the nearest Target-there may be one less than 50 miles away...

At least you didn’t have the constant barking. I’m debating returning the thunder shirt for a refund. That poor woman.

Your neighbor’s story reminded me of the Sears Optical commercial where the woman thinks she is letting her cat in for the night and it is a raccoon instead. I laugh every time.

The thunder shirt didn’t work? Something about a storm must have really traumatized the poor dog at some time in the past. Do you know a behaviorist who might have another trick to try? Something has to work...

Some people think that Huskies wolf howl/bark at every cricket chirp-I think that is because you usually see them in twos or more, bark/howling-they are sled dogs, team players, etc. Apparently, when not in a group, they are not inclined to howl/bark without good reason.

If Husky girl happens to hear another dog or a coyote howling when we are out at night, she will howl right back, and resist my efforts to take her inside until she is done communicating. I’ve heard that Malemutes-another wolfish dog-do the same thing, and are much quieter when not with other dogs.

You are so right-that is funny. I’ll have to remind my neighbor of that-but not, I think, intil the smell is gone from her den...
