Not to worry. I’m “old” as well, especially in techie world. Soon to be 52 year old female with 30 year old married for 8 years daughter and stb 25 year old son in the air force.
Wondering: This problem started before I updated Adobe. So, who caused the problem, Internet Explorer or Adobe.
My guess is IE. I want them to leave me alone, lol.
At least I found some fixes and/or ways around the problem on this thread. MY LUCKY DAY, take that IE, (then of course if they read these comments they will find another way to screw us up) lol.

So you can't even open a PDF file that is stored on your hard drive? What PDF reader and version are you using?

what is a *.iln file type ? I can’t find any reference anywhere that that is a valid file extension.
I have no idea...
