Portman defending himself against charges that him being VP pick as being the bland leading the bland. I had to LOL at that.
Thank you! Never heard the “heighth” word-but I had a neighbor from Brazil once who said windowseal instead of windowsill-it used to drive me up the wall, and I’ve never heard it again from anyone.
There are some nurses with whom I work who use the wrong words consistently, saying whelps for welts. Every time one of them does it, I ask if they were covered in puppies. I have little tolerance for that kind of thing when they are supposed to be professionals.
Yikes Sarah what’s with the glasses? She looks lore like Tina Fey than Palin!! Not a good look! She needs to go back to
Old look!
Do you really prefer Ted Baxter to the US in the Olympics?
“Seal” makes more sense, since the window does actually form a seal in that area.
Luckily, in my dialect the word could be either and be said the same.
General area. Hegewisch is a neighborhood in the southeast corner of Chicago. We’re headed to Aurora, a western ‘burb about an hour away. Better schools, slightly less chance of daughters joining gangs, closer to work, that kinda thing.
I hope everything goes smoothly. Moving is stressful!
Thanks SG - so far so good. Have ahd the new house for a couple months now, so there’s been time to work on it, move stuff over a mini-van load at a time, meet some nieghbors, stuff like that.
Without a pic, how can I judge?
Much like John Podhoretz who admitted the same yesterday I have zero interest in the Olympics. Haven’t watched a minute of it.
You’re moving to Wayne’s World?
Once I’m settled, I’ll bring in some of Stan Mikita’s donuts for the whole class!
LMAO...thats a big hit over on The Gang Green website.
Though in keeping with the Gwen Stefani mode, I was equally inspired by this

(small chick, no cleavage)
Though as far as the Olympics go...for me, It’s either Jordan Larson...(Competing) or preferably VOULA Papchristou...
FREE VOULA!
As I said, all she needs to do is keep the Shoes, and swap out the capris for a one size too small pair of jeggings.
Actually, the “sill” of a window is just a horizontal timber set on the outside of the frame on the wall of the structure-it isn’t part of the window-the sealing of the window takes place in the frame, although a sill on the outside can be sloped to deflect water away from the frame so it does not get waterlogged in rain-same with a door sill. Sills can be stone or brick, too, especially outside ones.
And trust me, my neighbor wasn’t referring to any function of the item-she just happened to speak English as a second language and had an accent-she was corrected on the pronunciation several times by her husband, and still said “windowseal”...
