Look, I like Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, as actors and as creators of comic material, but Murray could be on board and GIII could still be a chunk of crap. If he’s not coming, don’t even bother.

I’m thinking of reading it again, now that it’s come to mind. If I liked a book as a teenager, I usually like it again in late-middle-age, only for different reasons.

GB I was a cool, fresh new idea.
GB II was a rehash trying to be funny. it failed
GB III is gonna be a disaster.

face it, this franchise had it’s day, but it’s time to find other projects

Writers like Somerset Maugham, Evelyn Waugh, and Ford Madox Ford were popular in their day because they were really good. Sharp observers of humanity, excellent at putting words together, and all that.

At agonybooth.com (sections NSFW) there is the porn critic and he reviews the GB XXX parody and it is probably on par with what GBIII would work out to.

Agonybooth reviews all kinds of tv and movies it seems. I just ran across it. It is kind of like Cracked.com.

From what I recall of “The Razor’s Edge,” it’s about the individual’s confrontation with society and his attempt to address the conflicting claims of individuality and community. That’s always a relevant theme. However, when I read it again, I may think it’s about something totally different!
