"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Hi, Vision! Yes, we went to Chick-fil-A on Wednesday. It was packed at all Coast locations. The one we went to at the mall—we waited an hour to get our to-go order. It was awesome!

A local television station crew interviewed me and Keith standing in line, but I was told by friends who have televisions that our interview was not aired. Maybe I was a bit too “direct” about why we were standing with Mr. Cathy and Chick-fil-A.

The cameraman, when he was done filming, said to me, “Your voice is familiar. Are you on the radio?” HA! Maybe that’s why they canned our interview—I work for a competing media outlet just down the street from their studios.

Wow that’s funny, they have a great fruit salad btw. My place was packed but got in and out in 20 minutes.

I want to thank Dr for the idea as I may not have gone otherwise. She had to drive a while to reach one.

It’s good that you went, however you found out. I wrote a column about it almost a week before the event, telling everyone to celebrate Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day and give them the biggest day of sales in their history—and that’s exactly what happened! Whoo-hoo!

Greetings folks.

You've done great with the synopses, Gina.

Glad everyone else went to Chick-fil-A, too --- and I'm not that fond of chicken.

Do you guys think the CFA response reflects a pent up energy directed against the elements promoting cultural rot and national decline that will be unleashed in November as I do? :)

HA! Yes, that’s exactly what we think about the response to the Chick-fil-A celebration day!

HELLOOOO, SteelYourFaith! I’m so glad to see you!

I miss YOUR synopses very much, and I miss you—period!

I hope you’re doing very well.

I'm doing very well. I trust you guys are, too.

"The Big Broadcast" is an institution on FR !!!

I miss not participating so much lately.

Keeping up with the Olympics?

I've not been watching the Olympics. But did you hear about Viking? Through a freak accident his house burned to the ground and they lost everything. His attitude about it is amazing.

You’re doing well—that’s good news. We’re fine, too.

Hang around! :-)

I have no idea about the Olympics, except through Drudge headlines and passing mentions on the radio. Football season is coming up quickly, though.
